President’s Award Winner : Carolyn Kennicott
“Yippee! It’s Friday eve!” Lighthouse employees are greeted each Thursday with this cheery exclamation from Carolyn Kennicott. Her warm smile and quick wit brighten her co-workers’ days. When Carolyn isn’t at the Lighthouse, people notice.
Carolyn Kennicott’s dedication to accuracy keeps her in demand here at the Lighthouse. Last year, the Time-Keeping department recruited Carolyn to oversee production. She immediately jumped right in and became an integral part of the department. She has committed herself to maintaining a steady work pace, while at the same time working in hydration production department, keeping both operations running smoothly.
“Carolyn is very conscientious and detail-oriented,” says Malinda Burgett, who works alongside Carolyn in Time-Keeping. “Not only is she very organized and efficient, but she’s so much fun to work with.”
“Carolyn is a hoot,” Valerie Jorgensen, type clerk, agrees. “She is very cheerful and will keep you on your toes. Carolyn is known for her outgoing personality and has worked closely with management and colleagues alike to help ensure that operations run efficiently. When a new employee is hired, Carolyn works with them to make sure they know where their time cards are kept and how to use them.”
“Carolyn has a fantastic attitude and is a team player,” says Kirk Adams, president. “Her passion about the Lighthouse mission, willingness to put all her talents to help move the Lighthouse forward, and her enthusiasm make her the perfect winner for the President’s Award.”
Carolyn is quick to jump in and help during Lighthouse events. You can find her helping out at our summer barbeque, holiday parties, and retirement parties, as well as monthly shop meetings.
