The exterior of our new Inland NW facility
Inland Northwest Lighthouse for the Blind Opening in Spokane, WA

The Lighthouse for the Blind is creating even more employment opportunities for blind adults by expanding to Eastern Washington! Our Inland Northwest Lighthouse is located in Spokane, WA. We are currently in the planning stages of getting the facility up and running. This satellite operation will increase employment for visually impaired individuals in Eastern Washington.

“Lighthouse staff will provide comprehensive training and supports for the employees we hire,” said Kirk Adams, president. “We will practice efficient, accessible warehousing and shipping operations.”

Our target is to have forty blind people employed full-time at the new facility in the next three years. For blind and Deaf-Blind adults with the required skill set, it will provide diverse and accessible employment opportunities. Our focus will be on hiring new employees in the Spokane area to work on several product lines.

The Lighthouse has already begun the recruitment process through the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) Spokane office. Employees will undergo a 20-day training as part of the hiring process. Some of the available jobs at the Inland Northwest Lighthouse facility include manufacturing a co-branded line of wall boards, the Skilcraft Quartet line. In addition, we will make hanging file folders and binders, and we will assemble our new E-Tool line.

The 52,000-square-foot building is easily accessible to major bus lines, public transportation, retail shops, and affordable housing.

The Inland Northwest Lighthouse will be located at:

6405 North Addison St.
Spokane, WA 99208

The Lighthouse is always looking to develop new partnerships and create new relationships with organizations and people that will help us advance our mission of providing employment and services for those who are blind, Deaf-Blind, and blind with other disabilities.
