Message from President and CEO
As we welcome in this New Year, we at The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. are very much looking forward to continuing to implement our strategic plan. Adopted by the Board of Trustees in June of 2009, our goal is to create and maintain 500 livable wage jobs for people who are blind, Deaf-Blind, and blind with other disabilities by December 31, 2016. Throughout our organization we are focusing on five key strategies which allow us to accomplish this goal.
Lighthouse Receives Boeing Grant
for Braille Computer Equipment
The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.’s Computer Training Program (CTP) is designed to increase and support independence, self-sufficiency, and upward mobility in the workplace for blind adults through appropriate training and access to computer technology.
In order for our employees to succeed in the workplace, we provide comprehensive training and support for each individual. This support and training provides increased access for blind and visually impaired employees, and increases the opportunity for upward mobility in the workplace.
