Lighthouse Offers Leaders at All Levels Training to All Employees

Leaders at all Levels (LAL), a business training program sponsored by National Industries for the Blind, is now available to all Lighthouse employees. Led in-house by Tony Jorgensen, recruiter and training manager, LAL classes provide training on critical business skills.

Tony, who is blind due to retinitis pigmentosa, completed a certified training on the LAL curriculum. This curriculum was selected by National Industries for the Blind from the worldwide education company AchieveGlobal. The program’s five modules consist of Work Skills: the Basic Principles, Helping Your Team Work, Positive Responses to Change, Getting the Information You Need, and Speaking with Confidence.

“The goal is to increase upward mobility for all employees,” says Tony, who is in the midst of conducting LAL sessions. “It’s very fulfilling. I enjoy the diversity, that [diversity] is our strength.”
