Interpreter Sue Benson and her husband Bruce Webster adopt a newborn baby boy. Sue welcomed Gabriel Benjamin Webster into the family this past April. Congratulations, Sue!

Mark Landreneau delivers keynote address at the Australian Deaf-Blind Council’s seventh national conference in Melbourne, Australia in July.

Mary Mohrman wins Toastmasters chapter, area, and division level speech competitions.

Welcome! The Seattle Lighthouse welcomes the following talented additions to our staff:

Jasmin Simpson begins her internship in the Seattle Lighthouse Deaf-Blind Program. Jasmin will apply the knowledge she gains here to her Bachelor’s in Social Work degree at Gallaudet University.

The Rehabilitation Department welcomes three new employees.  Rachel Ashley and Marsden Martin join the department as job coaches, while Dena Rucker comes on board as employee support supervisor.

Geoffrey Ngige, Lawrence Spoon, Kevin Troung, Roderick Roberts, Alemayehu Desta, and Ryan Barnett join the production team as production workers, while Petru Cega is named as production set-up.

The Sales and Services department welcomes Sharon Carmody as sales and services supervisor, while Robert Land comes on board as typesetter.

The Base Supply Center team welcomes Tina Marie Amsler as administrative assistant, Duree Downey as sales clerk, Kristy Fregozo as store clerk, and Norman Stivers as janitor.

Allison Ryan joins the Public Relations and Resource Development department as development assistant.

The Lighthouse also welcomes Maria Angela Benjamin as inventory control clerk and Willie Harden as warehouse driver.
