Summer 2005
Join the Lighthouse Legacy Society
The Lighthouse Legacy Society was formed to honor and thank individuals who have expressed their commitment to the Lighthouse mission and programs by making a planned gift to the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind Foundation. Unless otherwise designated by the donor, these planned gifts are typically placed in the Foundation’s endowment fund. In this fund, the principal of gifts remains intact in perpetuity. Investment earnings are used each year to support Lighthouse programs creating opportunities for the independence and self-sufficiency of blind and Deaf-Blind people by providing employment, training and support services.
Lighthouse Legacy Society members will receive a membership certificate, recognition in Horizons, a special Legacy Society memento, and invitations to our annual holiday breakfast.
The only requirement for membership in the Lighthouse Legacy Society is to notify us in writing that you have made some sort of planned gift to benefit the Lighthouse.
Any individual making such written notification on or before April 2nd, 2008 will become a charter member of the Lighthouse Legacy Society. That date marks the 90th anniversary of the drafting of our articles of incorporation.
If you have any questions concerning the Lighthouse Legacy Society, please contact Director of Public Relations and Resource Development Kirk Adams at 206-436-2110 or kadams@seattlelh.org.
